Thanksgiving – Disaster #1

What happens if the oven goes out Thanksgiving morning?  You use the grill.  At least I do.

This morning our sink broke.  At least the seal on the sink no longer sealed.  So Dad and Uncle made an emergency trip to Lowes but it was closed.  Then they drove over to Home Depot, but it was closed too.

I had already called Keg, my nephew, to come over and help.

Dad and Uncle came back empty handed.

Right now the three of them are coating it in plumbers putty and duct-tape.  I hope it works.  I’ll let you know.

You can never use too much garlic.

Last minute chaos is what brings out the character in us. Hence we Saavedras are complete characters. Happy thanksgiving to all.

PS: roast a whole garlic clove and let them schmear it on at will. Yummy

The sink, but not the new faucet, yes? Or was that new non-drippy faucet also involved?

Yeah, it was just the sink. The new faucet is golden delicious still. Super yummy. The connection from the sink to the drain? Not so much. Tomorrow we are going to fix it.
